Hi!

My name is Gemma. My journey began with curiosity, which turned into an urge to explore what I was capable of offering to myself and others. I came across yoga and felt as if I had discovered a new universe within me. My goal is to guide students through the practice of yoga with care, love and tenderness, helping them to imprint the different asanas within themselves and find stillness and meditation in any state their body may be in.

Her Story

I have always felt that there was something else; a greater purpose beyond our lifetimes. However, I never knew what it was or how to achieve it. Perhaps I still don't know, but I have discovered that it involves helping others and offering them what I have: guidance, a listening ear and care.

So when I moved to the Netherlands and started practising yoga, I felt as though I was chasing something, looking for something else. Then, when I joined a traditional yoga class, I felt a click inside me. This is where I want to be; this is where I belong. So, as simple as that, I started volunteering as a karma yogi in that studio. Karma yoga is one of the three classical spiritual paths based on the 'yoga of action', or unselfish action without attachment to the results.

After participating actively in the studio and practising regularly, I decided to take the next step and travel to India to join a Classical Hatha Yoga teaching training course (200h) with the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres. It was a life-changing experience, and I try to share as much as possible during my classes, so expect to receive seeds of knowledge about yoga philosophy, guidance in the asana practice and also lots of fun!
