Service Description
Slings Myofascial Training exercises are based in yoga, pilates and myofascial release. In this fascial training class we will move along the body’s myofascial lines to create a fully integrated and structurally balanced body both inside and out. The exercises aim to give long term movement efficiency, which gives us both a dynamically stable body but with muscle strength and resilience. Its focus is on the fascial tissue in the body; the body’s interconnected web beneath our skin that connects everything to everything. The fascial tissue likes to slide and glide and sometimes it can get stuck; this can create restrictions in our movement as well as pain. With fascia training we can help to get the tissue moving again using props such as massage balls to help with the tissue’s hydration and nourishment, this then helps to unstick some of these areas creating a sense of ease and fluidity to our movements and therefore reducing pain. ___ Your teacher: Marije Marije has been teaching yoga for over 10 years and practicing for longer. She has always been eager for knowledge especially anatomy related. As she practiced yoga for a long time she also came across the downsides of yoga, having yoga related injuries. This led her to dive deeper in the body and study fascia. She now takes that knowledge into all classes she teaches.
